Following a major disaster, first responders who provide fire and medical services may not be able to meet the heavy demand for these services.  People will have to rely on each other for help in order to meet immediate life saving and life sustaining needs.  CERT is about readiness; people helping people, rescuer safety and doing the greatest good for the greatest number.  Over 7-8 weeks, as a participant of CERT you will learn how to prepare yourselves, your family and others to deal with disasters, (not to mention everyday events), how to put out small fires, basic disaster first aid and medical triage, conduct search and rescue operations, and understand the psychological effects disasters have on us.

There is no class scheduled at this time, but if you would be interested in being placed on a list for future classes, either email us that you are interested and provide your name and phone number or call us at 360-568-2141.

The CERT course is intended for community members, families, businesses, search & rescue participants, block watch groups, neighborhood and housing associations, and all individuals who have an interest in helping out their community!

The course does require personal protective gear ($20-$50 depending on what you need).
