FIRE COMMISSIONERS TAKE OATH OF OFFICE

Fire Chief Mark Collins gave the oath of office to two Commissioners at the December 10 Regular Board of Commissioners meeting. Jim Schmoker (left photo) was sworn in for a two-year term of office, filling the position left vacant by the departure of Steve Towers. Commissioner Schmoker served as a volunteer firefighter/EMT with Snohomish Fire & Rescue for over 26 years. Mark Hintz, Chairman of the Board (right photo), was re-elected to a six-year term. Chairman Hintz has served as a Commissioner since January, 2004.
