Following a major disaster, emergency workers who provide fire and medical services will not be able to meet the demand for  these services. People will have to rely on each other for help in order to meet their immediate life saving needs. After your initial training you will be notified of continuing education opportunities. These will allow you to meet others from the community who are  trained in CERT as well as many disaster responders.
