Minimum Requirements

• Complete the Fire Exam through the National Testing Network

• Current EMT Certification 

• Valid CPAT certificate (within the past 12 months)

• Age: 18 or older at time of interview

• Education: High School diploma or GED

• Valid Washington State Driver’s License

• Firefighter/PM Annual Salary (2026)

  • Entry Level: $88,044.22

  • Top Step: $115,086.42
