AUGUST 25, 2025

Please note that the contractor will be start work early on Thursday, due to the weather and type of work. See below for details and don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any questions.

 

Date and Time: Thursday 8/28/25 from 6am- 7am 

 

Work Taking Place: Placing the slab on grade within the apparatus bay of the FS#41. Concrete placement will be 200 yards placed with a pump truck. 

 

Reason For Off Hours: with the hot weather and the size of the placement the crews will need to take advantage of the early hours of the day. With the earlier placement we will mitigate and pre-mature hardening of the slab and ensure that the proper quality requirements are met. 

 

Sound mitigation: the concrete trucks that will be on site are all equipped with low frequency back-up alarms. Prior to start of placement the pump truck operator will be briefed and the horn on the pump truck will be disabled between the hours of 6am-7am. During that time the pump truck operator will use alternate means to communicate with the truck drivers.  Placement of the concrete will also begin in the Southwest corner of the site so the concrete vibrator will be the furthest away from any residents.

MAY 28, 2025

Basic Site prep and mobilization will begin on June 2nd. It will last around 2 weeks. The next phase will be the hauling (dump trucks) of fill into the site, which will also take about 2 weeks. Road and Utility work will likely begin in July after the Holiday. As we have more detailed information, we will update everyone.

***GROUND BREAKING CEREMONY***
 

For those who missed it, our ground breaking ceremony was a huge success! We were truly honoroed to see so many people taking time out of their day to join us in this momentous event.

 

While there are so many groups to thank for every effort put in to making this project come to life, we wish to make a special shout out to Jake Hensrude of ACE Equipment Rentals in Snohomish. Because of ACE's gracious donation, including delivery and pick up, the ground breaking was very unique with our very own GOLD excavator buckets! It was truly quite a hit!! Thank you so very much for your generosity and help in making Saturday truly memorable.

 

We also wish to extend our thanks to our Board of Commissioners, the City of Snohomish, the Snohomish Film Company, past and present elected officials, and so many more. The list truly does go on and on...
